Anyone on the mini pill?

Am 6 days late at the mo and wondered if anyone else had funny periods on the pill as had been quite clockwork except last month was on time but had a period for 8 days but normally only 4-6 days and dont think I am pregnant as am sure we have been careful but dont think it helped that last month was ill for 3 weeks and had been sick and had antibotics so may have been caught out. Hoping will come on by Friday otherwise I will be getting a pregnancy test. Weird thing is if I am pregnant, my hubby was getting broody (not me for a change!) and I was quite happy with the two girls although would love a boy didnt want to have another just on the chance we had a boy as didnt think that was enough of a reason but if I am then will not have a choice in the matter as there is no chance I would not have it.

Mini-pill can play havoc with periods, not just at the start but any time. Good luck, whatever the outcome!

yes, I agree with lljkk. Are you on Cerazette? As I often have periods at 2/3 monthly intervals on that. but since you think you could be PG I would get a cheap test.

came on this morning so didnt bother with a test, little disappointed but more relieved than anything. I am on the micronor one and normally quite regular.

I haven't had a period since I started on mine about 14 months ago.

lucky you, prefer not to have periods as they are a pain but seems strange you dont periods at all, have u seen a doctor about it?

Yup spoke to the doctor about it and its completely normal. Apparently its not "periods" as such that people have between pills its called interim bleeding or some such thing.

Of course I have to take the doctors word for it but it doesn't seem quite right to me, but I think my periods are quite odd anyway because it took 3 months to have one when I came off the pill last time and then that was the only one before I got pregnant so haven't got a lot of experience to compare it to.
