Where to go with toddler in late September?

Just that really, DD will be nearly 2. Looking for somewhere where we can see a few sights, relax, find a nice beach etc. Not sure yet whether we prefer resort with crèche facilities or something smaller yet - we'd usually go to smaller boutique-y places pre-baby but obviously what suits us now might be different! All recommendations as to where to go/avoid very welcome!

Isle of Wight? I went there in September a few years ago admittedly without children. There is a zoo, model village, Blackgang Chine, beaches of course and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in an air bnb though.

That's a nice thought! I have to admit that I had been thinking of the med, as we are off to Cornwall in June so I thought we could go further afield in September. But I love the Isle of Wight and would love to take DD there

At that age we tended to do villa holidays with DC. With a car we could get out and about during the day and have a nice lunch somewhere. We would come back for some time with DC in the pool and then feed them. Once the kids were in bed we'd have something simple to eat in the villa, sit outside and have a couple of glasses of wine.

It worked really well for us and felt like we got a bit of grown-up time too.

Have a look at Mar Menor - there's not an awful going on in the report but it's a great location for visiting Murcia, Cartagena and the smaller beach resorts.

If you want a crèche you are looking at an all inclusive hotel. Maybe the holiday village in Cyprus or kos (kos has a lovely beach)
