Calgary Stampede

I have a significant birthday coming up and would love to visit the Calgary Stampede in July 2020. Does anyone have any tips on making it a great experience? I would probably combine with a road trip through the Rockies ending in Vancouver, but it's the Stampede bit I'd particularly like advice on.

Sorry should have said there will be 5 adults. No children.

A day at the Stampede is enough
Definitely book tickets to the Rodeo (it is a daytime show) - highlight of our road trip to Canada
Wander into town in the morning for a free pancake breakfast

Agree with swimster one full day would be enough. we did a round trip from Sechelt, Vancouver up to Jasper and Golden finishing at Calgary. 3 weeks and it was brilliant with lots of outdoor rafting, walking opportunities.
