Maldives in May

Has anyone been to the Maldives in May? I've been researching and I see it's rainy season so not ideal. However I only have one set week where I can go so deciding whether to go and risk the rain or leave it and go somewhere else and put off my dream of going to the Maldives for several years. Any advice?

We usually go on holidays in May bit recently went to Maldives so had to switch it to February. Fantastic weather the whole time.

We have been 3 times in May and going again for this half term. Always had lovely weather - occasionally a huge downpour but it tends not to last more than an hour.

We went end of May for our honeymoon. We had a couple of days out of our 10 day stay where it rained late afternoon and perhaps one cloudy day. The weather was gorgeous the rest of the time.

We went in February and had 3 days of rain. Never any guarantees withh the weather. I'd go for it!
