DH ad I want a proper holiday next year after this year was two weeks of spending every minute running round after our 22mth old toddler. Plus we'll also have a 6 mth old baby when we go on holiday next year. Have just looked at Mark Warner, but they seem SO expensive!!!! ARe there any alternatives out there, holidays in the sun where proper registered childcare is available for under 3's for at least a couple of days of the week? Don't really want long flight time either if poss. Any suggestions gratefully received!!!

Having searched for the same thing for a very long time (our DSs now 16 and 15!) I think there is a total gap in the market for this sort of thing. Mark Warner is great - not TOO bad when you can share a room - remember food/wine/entertainment/child care is all included, but it does get fearsome expensive once you have to buy 2 rooms and have to go in school holiday time, like us. Make the most of it now! Cruises are also brilliant and you can often get last minute deals at a really good price through the specialist cruise websites! A holiday is not a holiday for our sons until they have made a group of friends and they are off doing their own thing. We are off to Lykia World in Turkey this year (next week!!) which is supposed to be excellent - but still not cheap. Lots of people love villa type hols but that would be sheer hell for us. Sadly, I have found that the hotels that offer really good child care/clubs etc all tend to be REALLY expensive. Most package hols just offer a couple of hours holiday club a day.

Hi MOTB, we would def have to get sep room for DS as having in our room for one night last week was HELL ON EARTH!!! The baby could prob stay with us, but we'd still need to shell out for the extra room.

MW have some rooms with rooms off for children - give them a call, they are really helpful and they do last minute deals as well. Good luck.
