Mosquito stuff

We are travelling to Spain this summer and I have been warned that mosquitoes will be rife in the area we are staying in.
I am particularly attractive to mosquitoes and react very badly when bitten. Can anyone recommend a mosquito repellent which is guaranteed to keep the nasty little things away from me? I am not proud and will wear anything with any smell and any chemical.

jungle formula is v good. I got bitten terribly as well before i discovered it. Yhink the splash on is better than the spray as well

Can the jungle stuff be used on children as well? DS1 is never bothered by mosquitoes, but DS2 (4) seems to have inherited my weakness.

Get Boots afterbite cream if they do get through the anti creams etc I would also buy locally as if they are nasty then teh locals will have some good lotions and creams. For little ones try Autan Family . FYI the ultrasound machines are cr*p get the liquid plug ins or the tablet ones

Libra i'm not sure you can use it on children, check the packaging if you see it, you can get it in loads of places. I't got a really high concentration of deet so might be too strong for lo. I bought some citronella oil for my lo last holiday but he was a baby then.

Mosiguard is good and can be used on the kids, works on African mossies at any rate! You can get it here

Eat marmite a couple of weeks before you go. It honestly works. Apparently mossies can't stand the stuff and they can smell it off you. My dh gets bitten badly every year, but the year we did this, no bites!

Jungle Formula is good.........don't know if Spanish Mossies are like British ones, or African ones - but British ones LOVE me - they bite me to smitherings..........African ones don't touch me (although they love DH LOL).
