....I'd be looking to do this crossing in Decemmber/January,with my,( by then...),6 month old son and 18 month old daughter...plus their nanny.
Any advice welcome ?
I've googled it already...there don't seem to be many options out there. I would be dong it for a medical reason, before you all tink me mad !

my friend did it on QE2 had a great time. Took about 5 days IIRC. Not sure what other lines do it.

mozhe · 10/07/2007 11:39

Yes looks like QE2 is most likely...a lot of £££s though, but do not want to fly with Tristan as he has been ventilated,( is still...), and it is not recommended in first year of life..Was your DS ventilated Kewcumber ? What advice did you get ? I can see how it makes sense...but presumably you had to get back to UK somehow ??

no not ventilated only oxygen and feeding so wasn;t a problem for us. You can negotiate big discounts if you call teh cruise specialists probably more than if you call Cunard direct. I'll see what I can find out from my friend. He has a major flying phobia so boats or trains everywhere.

mozhe · 10/07/2007 11:46

Ooooh thanks for that....off to see tiny DS so will pop in later...

www.cunard.co.uk/CruiseCalendar.asp?shipID=&Region=7&CruiseDate=11_2007&Duration=7&submit=+++ Search+++&Mode=Submit&LeftNav=Destinations&DestRegion=7&Active=&Sub=cal

Ring them see what kind of deal you can get. Complaicted by QE2 being taken out of service and QV taking over...

Oooh no, but I'd like to.

How is your new baby?

mozhe · 10/07/2007 17:48

Doing well....but still long way to go, as still ventilated and he had lost 80 grms but today has begun to climb and now weighs 700grms...another 75 and he will be back at birthweight...no other probs though.
Still no cuddling yet ,he is just too tiny/frail just yet..it will come.
Hope he's fit enough by Xmas to go travelling !!! May not be....might leave it 'til Feb half term....

The inlaws just did this trip on cunard but NY to the UK

They are usually heavily discounted from the list price - I think there was an ad supplement for it in the telegraph last week

Where you stay dictates where you dine
You actually have to dress up quite a bit
The brochure I read says it offers nanny/nursery care almost all day
Luggage is unlimited which is handy
