Germany - Munich area

Really want to fly to Munich this summer
Have 3-4 days in the city and 10 days near a swimming lake nearby as base for castles and other day trips.

Can anyone recommend lovely hotel in Munich and or surrounding area. Family 2 adults 2 teenage boys.

DP and I stayed here last September. We really liked it. I don't think they do family rooms, but if you wanted a double and a twin it was really nice. Right by an S-Bahn so easy to get into town, but really quiet as it was basically in a residential suburb.

Have previously stayed at this Novotel in Munich which is also around the corner from an S Bahn station and a Hit supermarket located in this station. Its also not far from the centre of town and we enjoyed our stay here .
