Which airport for university of Hertfordshire?

Work day trip to university of Hertfordshire with meeting from 1- 5 pm. Flying from / to Edinburgh although could also do Glasgow. I will be using public transport to get to and from the uni. I think Luton may be the closest airports but last flight from Luton is 1915. Can anyone help?

Would Stansted not be closer? Otherwise I think Luton is your best bet

Luton would be closer. Neither likely to be that great for public transport

Train might be better, Edinburgh to Stevenage then get the bus.

Hmmm, Luton would be easier in terms of public transport to get to Hatfield (taxi to Hitchin and then get the train down to Hatfield) I think, but if the last flight is at 7:15pm that's no good is it?

Stansted is slightly further away but will be tricky to get to by public transport I think? Actually you could get Stansted Express to Hertford and then taxi to Hatfield I guess. In fact that might be easier because then you can get a taxi straight to the uni.

Thanks all. Seems there is a bus that gets to Luton Airport at 1805. Its a long time since I've been in Luton Airport, will it be possible to get thar bus and catch the 1915 flight??

Yes that'll be fine if you're not checking any luggage and especially if you've checked in online, all you'll be doing is security and going to gate.
