mineral based sunscreen?

I am going to the Caribbean- will be bringing husband and 9 yr old. I need to find a good sunscreen to use- we will be there only 5 days and are coming very pale skinned.
someone suggested i use a mineral based sunscreen rather than chemical based. any thought on this?
also what spf?
spray or lotion
any other recommendations?

Green people sunscreen is properly mineral and amazingly good.
The after sun is the best one too.

Pricey but the risk for pale people in the Caribbean it's worth it I reckon
