Just after some possible ideas, for April!

Still considering Playa Blanca, Lanzarote - but looking at various ideas.

Or somewhere warm in April!

Have stayed in Playa Blanca three times, self catering villa first time, then all inclusive, it was enjoyed by the children OH a bit bored the third time. He is a bit of an action man.

Another vote for Lanzarote but I love Puerto Del Carmen.
Playa Blanca is ok if you have small children but for teenagers / adults I prefer PDC which has more of a buzz.
The whole island has fascinating volcanic scenery and it's quite easy to get around.

Graziass, you are right it is too quiet for teenagers, more suitable for little ones and childless couples.

Another vote for Lanza. We went last year and loved it. Dead easy to drive around as well. Went to Tenerife a couple of weeks ago and didn't really like it. Stayed in Costa Adeje and drove to a lot of different areas round the island. Murder to drive round!

We love Lanza.. we stay in PDC.. but hire a car and discover new places.. I find it a very relaxing place.. can do as little or as much as you want😊

My sister & I stayed at matagorda near PDC & hired a car. The beaches near matagorda are lovely.

I recommend going to the nature reserve near playa Blanca & visiting Pozo & Papagoyo beaches as they are stunning.

Then visit Caleton Blanco which is in another part of the island it's a beautiful lagoon.

The town (not the resort) of Teguise is nice & I also recommend visiting the caves, & Omar Sharif's old casa!!

Gran canaria been loads of times since I was little .
Puerto Rico...
Puerto de Morgan is a beautiful harbour.

There's many lovely places there.

I went when pregnant and everyone was lovely! Xx

We all really liked Lanzarote - very easy to get around - good roads, not a lot of traffic, plenty to see and do. We didn't like Gran Canaria nearly as much. We stayed in Puerto do Mogan, which is really lovely, but getting anywhere else took ages and the east coast is really ugly - airport, factories, warehouses, grotty and not attractive at all. The hilly bit in the middle is all hairpin bends. Would go back to Lanzarote in a heartbeat, but wouldn't go back to GC.

Love Lanzarote, especially Teguise (town, not Costa) and Playa Blanca. Wasn't keen on Puerto del Carmen but most of the island is lovely and unspoiled.

Puerto de la cruz in Tenerife for me.

I have been to many resorts on the four main islands and this is my current fave.

It is still a town for tourism but there are way more Spanish shops and bars, restaurants, people than on the southern resorts.

We stay in Puerto del Carmen as we find it makes a good base for trips out and about elsewhere. If we weren't going out so much we would stay in Playa Blanca.

Another vote for Puerto de is cruz Tenerife. Lovely, authentic place with loads of lovely gardens, amazing street art and places to eat. They also have a lot of festivals and Volcanic black sand.

Playa Blanca Lanzarote is great. Check out Princesa Yaiza. It’s such a beautiful hotel. We’ve been twice. Once as a couple and liked it that much we went the following year with our 7 month old. It’s perfect for everyone and has a designated children’s area so it’s not over ran with children for those who want peace & tranquility. We might even go back for a third year in a row! Pricey but worth it!

If you go to Lanzarote you must go to the restaurant Ikarus in Teguise. Best meal we had on the island. We had rabbit stew, steak, and an Iberian meat platter. We went there on our last night but if we'd found it earlier we would have gone every day.

Been to Playa Blanca when kids were small, we did get a bit bored but it is lovely.

Tenerife wins hands down for me, we have been three times now and stayed in Costa Adeje. We love it as do both the kids.
So much to do and the Teide (the volcano) trip is great fun. We combined this with an island bus trip. Siam water park was amazing and we did a whale and dolphin boat trip.
