Almeria / Spain / February 2008 any advice ? Something to look forward to in mid-winter.......

I'm planning a short break for my husband and I and what will then be a 13 month old baby in mid-Feb next year. I have been looking at Almeria, mostly because easyjet fly there on the dates we need ! Has anyone been there and can you recommend a place to stay (or not). I am looking at the Marina Playa hotel. Thanks for any advice, even on other areas in Spain.

Cabo del Gato and San Jose along the coast from Almeria have some fab beaches (and Flamingos!). I went about ten years ago now, and they are more developed now than they were, but still good. I can't help much with accommodation though as I camped!
