Does anyone have any advice re shade a babes? Am off on hols in cple of weeks and was considering maybe getting one for the little one (he 13 months old) Only thing I concerned about is he hates having the raincover on the buggy as it is so dont want to spend heaps on the shade a babes and then he throws a paddy!!! Are the worth the money ?

Any advice appreciated

hard to tell till you get it and try it - you could always save some money by getting one off eBay - or why not order one new, try it and send it back if he won't have it on. ours is worth its weight in gold as not only does it keep the hot sun off it helps our youngest sleep as well when we are out and about - he fights his naps so needs as little stimulation as possible. if your lo isn't have it you may have to resort to a parasol.

He might prefer a rayshade if he hates the raincover. Try looking for one on ebay. I've got both and they're both good, but the rayshade is quite portable, folds up really small and you can fold it back rather than have to stick it under the pushchair when not in use. But the rayshade blows about in the wind quite a lot, shade a babe doesn't!
Also shade a babe looks awful on some pushchairs, namely the bugaboo, just doesn't fit it. Rayshade will fit anything that I can see.
