Barbados in July

Hello :). Does anyone have experience of Barbados in July? After a horrendous 12 months DH really wants to take the children to the Caribbean (18, 14 & 8) in the summer hols. As ours break up a little earlier we could go early/ mid July. I know it’s rainy season but was just after some hearing others experiences Smile. TIA

It’s not wet for weeks. It’s more cloudbursts that don’t last long. It can be humid though. Better by the sea of course. We have been to the BVIs at this time and it was fine. Do it. Take a few rainy day things to do.

Thank you Smile. Going to book this weekend!

I think the weather forcast for barbados shows rain every day all year round ! have only been in December , when we had 2 days of heavy rain , and a light sprinkling on various other days

be wary of booking on the south coast , they have had sewage problems down there , doubt its been sorted

Been twice, and both times in late July / early August. Two weeks each time. There was only one very miserable day where it chucked down the whole day and we couldn't do much. Rest of the time it's fine. Quick downpour if at all. It's just liquid sunshine for a few minutes and then all is good. Do it, you'll love it!

We've been once in August. It was wet and cloudy for several days, although still hot.

It's a risk you take in the rainy season, but still one I'd say is worth it. But definitely go for a hotel or accommodation on the West coast if you can.

It's one of my most favourite places to go, so I hope you have a great time!
