Hello, we are off to Switzerland to visit friends and I need to work out how we should get to our friends house from the airport. I know over here we need car seat for private cars but not for taxis... correct me if I'm wrong here...
but does anyone know how this works in Switzerland please? Sorry if this is a self evident question but I'm really not sure Our car seat is massive and I can't imagine people take them with them...

hmm, I think you are technically correct that it is the same for taxis, although stricter than here in private cars, but frankly , having lived there and experienced taxi drivers , I would n't risk it . What about the train - all the airports (Basel excepted iirc) have direct connections - cheaper than a taxi by miles. Where are you headed ?

Taxis in Switzerland are outrageously expensive.
Why not train/tram/bus it?
Where do your friends live?
