Brittany suggestions

I am having a lazy Sunday afternoon planning our Summer holiday. We're going to Brittany, staying a few miles from St Malo. Had anyone stayed in the area and if so do you have suggestions of what to do (especially with a 6 and 2.5 year old)? I've got a few ideas written down, but sure I'll miss a must-do! Thank you.

Everything shuts on Sundays. That's useful to know! And there's not much indoo4stuff to do when it rains. But when it's sunny Brittany is a nice place to be. Think there is a zoo at roscoff. Don't bother with the aquarium at vannes but think there is an oceanarium at best?

Fort la Latte is good, about 35 mins from St Malo. There is an aquarium in St Malo. Dinan is a really pretty town to wander around.

Karnac with it’s standing stones and megalithic monuments is worth a visit if you like history, there is a ‘little train’ tour. Nice seaside resort too.

Walled Town at concarneau

It's a bit of a drive (about 1hr) but Mont-St-Michel is amazing. You can get guided tours or just go at your own pace.

Would also second Dinan as worth a day trip.

Thank you! I've looked at the aquarium in Saint Malo, I think my dc will love it. They also have a land train I think! I will look up the towns mentioned.

Quiberon, beautiful peninsula. Carnac, Nantes, trips to Belle-Ile, Lorient. So many beautiful places. Make sure you use the Cote Sauvage route, so pretty. Rochefort-en-Terre has to be my all time favourite (it was voted one of France's most beautiful villages). Morlaix is impressive too.

Sable d'or les pins has an amazing beach.

Another good castle is Chateau de la Hunaudaye.

Cobac theme park looks a good smallish theme park (disclaimer didnt go myself as was too far from where we were staying but it looked good).

We stayed in cancale, lots of nice restaurants with set menus so very good value.

Mont St Michel was great, but get there early as its very busy.

Aquarium in Saint Malo was good with DC. We also went to Bournbonsais zoo and chateau. Friends of ours like Cobac theme Park.

St malo itself is good for wandering, ramparts fun for kids. Cap Frehal was lovely. There are several really nice beaches about 30-40 minutes west of st malo. Aquarium in st malo is good as well. Both Dinard and Dinan were nice, both easy to get to from st malo.

No advice but just occurred to me that Brittany is missing an advertising trick. An ad that shows shots of Brittany's most beautiful scenery along with the text 'Where is this?' And then at the end: 'It's Brittany Bitch!'

Headinhands Grin😂

We're definitely going to try the aquarium in St Malo! Thank you again for all the suggestions!
