"Book two tickets to Johannesburg in our premium economy cabin (World Traveller Plus), travelling between 1 and 31 March 2019 or between 1 May and 31 December 2019, and receive two tickets for the price of one. Tickets must be bought at the same time, and both tickets should have same travel dates."

One person return prem Econ comes out at £675. Does that mean it's buy one get one free? so two people in prem econ for £675 or £337.50 each? Am I being daft?

I think it reads buy 2 and save 50%

HappyDinosaur · 12/02/2019 15:57

I agree with you, two tickets for the price of one ticket.

OlennasWimple · 12/02/2019 15:57

Yes, when you buy two tickets you will only be charged the price of one

Not sure how they will be coded (for frequent flyer purposes) and they might come with tight restrictions on the ability to make changes etc. But it looks a great deal!

Zabda · 12/02/2019 15:59

Yes I was wondering how many points I'd get Grin

Hmm, not sure we were planning on going to Joburg but am sure we could look into doing something for a week...

I agree it reads 2 for 1 but it might only be the flight element that is free like with a companion voucher? Taxes will be a lot of the £675 so if you have to pay the taxes twice it may not be as good as it sounds.

When DH went to Johannesburg for work he had an escort and was strongly discouraged from going anywhere much so do make sure you have a doable itinerary before you book.

DropZoneOne · 12/02/2019 23:09

The price of £675 pp is based on 2 people, so already takes into account the saving.

1 person is a fare of £447 and taxes of £455
2 people is still a fare of £447 but taxes of £455×2

Zabda · 12/02/2019 23:30

That seems much more like it! Some pretty dodgy wording by BA! Very clever. Cheers

pelirocco123 · 15/02/2019 08:37

If it is a good deal you can fly from Jo'burg to Cape Town very cheaply

DropZoneOne · 15/02/2019 18:28
