Family holiday for Easter sun?

We can’t get time off in the summer holidays this year so with school age children, I’m looking for somewhere that will be warm enough for swimming and playing on the beach for a family holiday at Easter. Usually we like to go to Greece in July/August so obviously it’s really hot then but am not sure what it would be like in the Easter holidays. Does anyone have any recommendations? Have I left it a bit late? Not to mention Brexit uncertainty!! Looking at a budget of around £3-4000 for a family of four.

Avoid the Brexit uncertainty and go to Morocco. Choose Agadir if you want a beach or Marrakech if you want a nearby city. Both can be reached in under 4 hours from London airports. Also, Morocco celebrates Easter a lot less than Europe does - families don’t take time off for it so you’re more likely to have a greater choice of places to stay.

Hi op lots of Greek resorts don't open till after Easter. Canaries or Cyprus will be open then.
Agadir in Morocco is awful don't go there!

Balearics, Canaries, Cyprus, Algarve or Southern Spain would all be nice at that time of year. Morocco or Cape Verde if you want to go outside of Europe.

We’re going to Gran Canaria. Went in the Easter hols last year too and the weather was perfect, especially with young DC. Hot enough for pool, beach etc but a nice cooling breeze. We’re going to the same hotel, all-inclusive, 9 nights for £2400

We have been to Cyprus at Easter, was a bit borderline on swimming in pools but was OK, its fine if you are swimming but not so great if you just stand there. Should be fine with school aged kids if they swim. We did the First Choice Holiday Village there which was nice. Also done Balearics at Easter which was similar, again Splashworld, Holiday Village ones.

I’m thinking Cyprus would be nice anyway - we could get out and see places more than we can manage in the full heat of the summer. I just want to make sure we can swim as we all love the water. I know I’ll be happy even if it’s a bit chilly but not sure how the five year old will cope!

The canaries have guaranteed sun at that time of year. The Greek islands can still be a bit cool for sun and sea. If you choose Tenerife be sure to go to the south of the island ...the north is much cooler. Also research beaches some are lovely but some black sand.

Malta is heating up a bit by then but again choose resorts carefully as some don't have good beaches. Lots to see off the beach as well.

Cyprus also heating up but we had a very cold Easter there one year. Safest bet for warmth short haul is the Canaries.
