October Half Term - where to go?

The four of us (me, DH and DD10 and DD7) are looking to go away in Oct half term for a week. We want to go somewhere warm and within a six hour flight.

Not Spain, Portugal or the Canaries, as we've done those. DH would quite like AI, but I quite like the idea of something a bit more off the beaten track. Somewhere where we can explore the local area but still have a swimming pool for the DDs if we have a couple of relaxing days not doing much.

Any ideas please?

Cyprus is still warm then, around a 4 hour flight.

We plan to go to Cyprus. Alternative was Rhodes.

Should be still have decent temperatures and enough to do to keep everybody happy.

We really enjoyed Sicily last October. The north coast of Sicily (Cap D'Orlando area) is lovely and the weather ranged between 19-25 degrees.
