Fit to fly after 28 weeks

Hi everyone,

Baby is due 1st August and it would be great to get a hot holiday in before we go. We really fancy a classy Italy break (Tuscany) and May looks like it is the earliest it will be good for some hot weather.

I'm 28 weeks on the 9th of may, no complications so far but I'm conscious if there are we won't get a fit to fly cert. we have already had to cancel flights in sept since finding out.

Do you think it's too risky? Anyone with any experience of this?

Trying to find somewhere as nice and hot in April in Europe is tough! Nothing seems to come close to the Tuscan hills!

Not sure if this helps but I'm currently in Lanzarote at 27 weeks and fit to fly was not needed with Ryanair luckily. My doctor wanted £25 for a certificate.
Have you looked at the Canary Islands? I'd look at booking travel insurance now & reading their t's & c's

Good point about insurance didn't think of that! Ended up booking Greece the week before I'm 28 weeks.

@xxlucybxx Oh fab! You'll be fine then. Greece is lovely. We are looking at going back there when DC2 is born at the end of summer.
For when the time comes, I bought a lovely maternity swimsuit from H&M. I alternated between that and a bikini so bump wasn't out everyday. Just a pointer just incase as maternity wear is so expensive!
