Apply for new passport before or after the 29 March?

I have one child without a valid UK passport.
Is there any reason to apply for one before the Brexit date?

We don't have any travel plans as yet.

Don't know but I always make a point of keeping my travel documents up to date .

I do have family overseas though, so potentially could have to travel at short notice.

I would do it now just in case. I’m not really sure what just in case of but maybe even just time delays! But we travel a lot and I wouldn’t like to be without a passport.
