Restaurants in Tenerife, Los Christianos

Hello

Going to Los Cristianos in February with oh, 2yo and 6mth bf baby. Any restaurant tips? Especially Spanish? Toddler can just about manage without high chair and eats everything.

Am guessing will eat out mainly at lunchtime as our toddler meal times are not very Spanish (1200,1700!)

Thanks in advance

Go up into the back streets, rather than those along the front. Main advantage is that you will have more chance of avoiding the touts trying to persuade you to eat in their restaurant and more likely to find somewhere more authentic.

We did have lovely tapas in a back street restaurant in Los Cris, but I can't remember where it was. I just look for somewhere that looks like a proper Spanish restaurant selling proper Spanish food, so tapas, menu del dia etc, calamares Romana etc and am rarely disappointed.

You might struggle to eat authentic food at those times, but might find the restaurants open but empty, as you say, the Spanish are nowhere near ready for lunch at mid day and 17.00 is more like a late lunch to them, than dinner time.
