If you have stayed at the Lopesan Baobab Hotel...

...have you also stayed anywhere else that you would say is comparable? We have been there twice and love it, considering going back this summer but not keen on the five hour flight (not in UK) with our 3 year old. Looking for somewhere similar (large resort but not overrun/crowded, great pools, family friendly but 5 star) in Mallorca, Ibiza, Greece, possibly Portugal...any suggestions?

I've stayed there, whilst I loved the communal areas we really didn't sleep well there so personally not rushing back. I prefer Sensatori Tenerife / Gran Meliá Palacio D'Isora which personally has the edge for me on kids facilities and food choice. But you say you don't want Canaries necessarily - lol at one of the other Sensatori branded hotels by TUI I haven't been to any but know people who have and like them although the Tenerife one is meant to be the best!

Pinecliffs, Algarve. I loved Lopesan Baobab and loved Sensatori Tenerife. Pinecliffs is the only other place I've been that is similar standard but closer to home. Well closer to UK, I'm not sure where you are.

The Ikos resorts look fantastic but were v pricey from our location in Germany (nearly €4K more than Baobab) so we decided to suck up the flight and go back! Our youngest DD will be just 3 and is such a handful at the moment that we would have preferred a shorter flight. Sure it will be worth it though!
