Somewhere warm for Easter hols?

Not long haul, hotel, nice pool, don’t need beach, not ££££££!

I can only think Canaries?

EasyJet from London to Marrakesh is less than 4 hours.

If yiu go check that the pools are heated, lots aren’t.

Any other recommendations please. Best hotels etc in Canaries?

Marrakech was beautiful when I went a few years ago in April. 28/30 deg

I’m tempted by Marrakesh - package deal or flights and Airbnb type thing? What if there’s flight issues over Europe after Brexit or whatever happens?!

Marrakech is fantastic. Short haul and very exotic. Tui do good all inclusive deals. But yy to checking pool heating. We were here one new year and it was unexpectedly hot- proper sunbathing weather but the pool was unusably cold.

Thanks for pool info! I’d love to stay in a riad but DSs will want a ‘proper’ pool! But I don’t want to be too far out from the centre.

We went to Marrakesh one Easter, it was really warm, stayed at the Kenzi Club Agdal Medina, nice rooms, pools & grounds & water slides too, the kids loved it, if I remember food not fantastic back then, but overall it was ok did the job.

Cyprus is also nice over Easter.

What if there’s flight issues over Europe after Brexit or whatever happens?!

Anything is possible. No less likely to be interruptions to flight to the canaries than anywhere else. It’s all a risk at this point.

I stayed in a riad but it was me and a friend:

If you are going for a week and could be bothered I’d recommend a couple of nights in a riad and 5 in lux hotel.

So pretty Red! Only 5 nights and my boys will want a big pool so I was thinking a not too big hotel but close to all the action!

I went someone said to me it’s the closest place you can go that feels like the furthest. It was like stepping back in time 1000 years. Def go to the town square one night. Don’t worry too much about the safety... although they can be a bit intimidating they are the most friendly polite people I have ever met. There is very little alcohol and it’s a very strict Muslim country so almost 0 crime.

We stayed in a Riadh too in Marakech.

I can also recommend Gambia for an Easter holiday. Lovely weather then and the people are lovely.

Shalom - we only have 5 nights so Gambia probably too far.

If you're still considering canaries:
Lopesan baobab gran can aria, sensatori, tenerife and Los zocos lanzarote all have at least heated pool. Stayed in all 3 and would return to all 3. Sensatori luxurious, Los zocos not so much, but clean and friendly
