Just looking for opinions on Paris for a weekend in March.
A bit concerned with the protests at the moment.

Paris is lovely in any month but I personally wouldn't go at the moment with the protests happening.

Not the weekend of 29th March I hope 😀🇬🇧

Knock yourself out. Read a paper.

MegCleary · 26/01/2019 22:16

@borntobequiet cheers for that, I have, but I was wondering if any or our Parisian members might have a comment. It’s not the 29th Wink

I would spend the weekend somewhere else. Brussels or Bruges are nice weekend destinations.

ChoudeBruxelles · 15/02/2019 21:05

I’m going with friends 2-5 March.

Things we have pencilled in deepening on weather are
Trip up arc de triomphe
Walk past moulin rouge
Eat at rue mouffetard
Galleries Lafayette
Day to Versailles
Saints chapelle

AttilaTheMeerkat · 16/02/2019 09:29

If a visit to Saint Chapelle is planned, would strongly urge you to buy your tickets in advance using their website. Lines can be very long indeed and the chapel itself in the upper level can be very crowded (the lower level is full of stall holders selling souvenirs).

I would combine this with a visit to the Conciergerie next door.

A walk up to and around Montmartre.

MegCleary · 16/02/2019 20:27

Thanks for the tips, is there a way to find out where the protests are going to be in advance?
