We are looking at going to the Italian Lakes in June (2 adults 2 children). As a family who is used to Spain, Portugal and Greece, I am at bit 
at the prices. We are looking to self cater, I'd like a pool, wifi, air con....there's not much in my price bracket it seems....
The first thing I have started to wonder is - do I really need the air-con? There seems more on offer if I exclude this from my search. Are evening/nights hot in early June?
Also we were primarily looking at Como...should I look at Maggiore too?
Finally are there any areas round the lakes that people would recommend that are family friendly.
TBH - any advice Italian Lakes related would be greatly appreciated!
