Hello
we are considering Greece with our teenager this year. We would like to go where there are a few nice bars and restaurants to eat out in the evening but dont want to be near any full on night clubs! We like a bit of beach bit of history nice local food and a few drinks until midnight at the most! Any tips much appreciated!

I took my 13 year old to Rhodes last year. We stayed in a small hotel in Lindos, nice swimmimg pool, 10 minutes walk into Lindos itself for bars and restaurents. Very easy to get to Rhodes Town for tons of history, water park in Faliraki good for a day out. Lots of nice boat trips.
Lindos has its own little micro climate so hotter than the rest of the island but there are lots of similar family resorts.
My son had a great time and is desparate to again.

Havent been with him but I have had a few holidays in Crete which were similar

As Ted says, Crete also has plenty of history plus some lovely low key villages. Chania city is within easy reach of various beach resorts and has a good bus service. I loved Lindos, but last went around 30 years ago!
