Berlin- where to stay?

We're looking at a short stay in Berlin. Looking for somewhere central or easy to travel to some of the main attractions. Can anyone recommend an area or hotel please.

Also, if you have any recommendations on things to do, that would be great.

The trains/trams are brilliant, so it's easy to travel around. Good areas to stay are Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg.

There's loads to do. What sort of things do you like?

we stayed here a few years ago. Quite central, spotless with lovely staff. I'd recommend it. And Berlin is fantastic. Enjoy.

The Melia Berlin is great - right on the river and central. Take comfortable shoes - we walked miles - but it's a fantastic city!
