Croatia - does this resort exist???

We are going to Croatia in late July as a family - 2 adults and 2 teens. We will spend time in Split doing various activities but want to have 2-3 days at the end to chill. I'm looking for a beach front resort (or very close to a beach) with a nice pool etc - 4 or 5 stars. It will need to be either on the mainland within about an hour's drive of Split (one child gets travel sick) or a nearby island. We looked at Blue Sun in Bol but have been put off by negative reviews. Does this resort exist or do I need to lower my expectations?!

Maistra and Valamar are two big resort chains in Croatia that offer a range of accommodation. Would be worth checking out their websites and seeing what might fit your location/criteria.

We've been to Makarska. Very nice hotels with lovely pools, gorgeous promenade. There is a beach, but it's pebbly.

Sorry - also Family Hotel Diadora near Zadar. Haven’t been but we nearly booked last year and it looked pretty good for younger kids at least.

Thanks for all the responses. The 2 resort chains mentioned above look great but unfortunately both seem to be very skewed towards Istria which is too far north for us. I suspect we will take a chance and go with the Elaphusa on Brac.

Don't know the name of the hotel but you can get a (car) ferry from split to Brac and the ferry docks in supetar. There was a lovely hotel right on the beach there. It looked lovely.
