Hi
If you had a choice between 4 nights in Gran Canaria or a 3 night Europe city break at the end of March with a 1 year old toddler, what would you choose.

If it was the city break...do you have any recommendations?

Thank you

Gran Canaria. Much more fun for a toddler, and you'll get a chance to relax as well.

That is a great point. Thank you

When children are little, holidays only work when they are child friendly. Not many one year olds would get much pleasure from sight seeing in a city for three days!
So for a few years, holidays will work best when focused on fun for the child. But those years soon pass, and before long you will be back to the delights of Amsterdam or Paris! Wine Wine

As cities go, Valencia is brilliant - a huge park in the centre with lots of different play areas, beach, airbnbs (handy being self catering with a little one), very child friendly.

Watching for other toddler friendly suggestions

Thank you both for the tips! We did an air bnb to Cyprus at the end of September and our little one loved the pool! Think we are going to go ahead and book the flights to Gran Canaria!

With that amount of time I’d usually say city but between starting to crawl and around 18 months when they are into everything(!) I reckon Canaries would be preferable!

I love Lisbon with kids and by March you’ll get sunny days (even if not boiling hot) but I think it would be more fun when you can manage without a buggy for a few days - say from about 2.5 years.
