We want loads of activities and a short transfer
Which would you recommend?

Messini is great. BA flight on a Saturday from T5 at a civilised time and 15 minute transfer.

Was a bit put off Messini in the reviews as it sounded very isolated- no local village to visit for a coffee or have a walk around?

That's true. It is a bit isolated and no much choice on none inclusive nights.
But, the rooms are modern and very clean and the sports really well run.

We have friends who've done loads
Sivota is great but the steps are a killer
Lemnos good, especially cycling, but very child friendly (might be what you're looking for)
Sardinia, they weren't keen on accommodation or food.

They always return to Messini.

Messini a definitely looks to have the best activities
Is there a supermarket nearby at least to be able to buy drinks? The drinks prices at the resort sound horrendous!

There's a supermarket on one of the bike rides and quite a few folk took rucksacks. We drank tons of bottled water which we had delivered to the rooms.
The bar bill wasn't too painful.
Are you tennis players? We were very impressed with the tennis setup

Dogsmellssobadbob · 14/01/2019 20:39

Hmm not exactly near then?
And they do non inclusive nights too don’t they? What do you do then?

We usually do MW Levante but fancied a change
Yes we are tennis players

Levante has a shop in the hotel and a supermarket opposite so we got all our drinks there other than when we were at the bar in the evening. Plus often bought crisps and daytime snacks. They do good every evening too although there is a town ten mins walk away.
Maybe we should stick to there? Got a bit bored of the cycle routes tho.

Never done MW but the Neilson friends have.
Lunch is included daily and 4 evening meals so we didn't need to buy any food. There are a couple of tavernas within walking distance for none inclusive nights. Tennis coaching is also included.

Not what you asked but Club Med La Palmyre is fab. 45 mins transfer from LaRochelle.

Dogsmellssobadbob · 15/01/2019 21:52

Hadn’t considered club med- is it as good for sports?
