We have booked to fly into pula and out of Dubrovnik 14 days later.

Family of 5 kids ages 3/10/12

Looking for any experienced travel tips or recommendations of where to stay/ visit. Don't mind moving about a bit too.

Any recommendations of campsites / hotels to stay too would be brilliant.

Thanks

Get the ferry to Solta for a day or two. The ferry is early the morning and met by a number of busses that take you to the beaches.

We visited Croatia as a family of 5 (and loved it!) Not sure when you're thinking of going but there's loads of interesting things to do in Hvar (we were there outside of high season as it does get busy in the summer). You might like to include a side trip to Bosnia on the way down to Dubrovnik, with a night in Mostar (truly beautiful). There's an 8 day itinerary to Croatia on our site (Lijoma.com) which has other ideas. Have a wonderful trip!

We stayed in Cavtat this past summer.
Fab holiday.
We took a day trip by boat to Dubrovnik. I would def recommend walking the wall around the city-amazing views. I'd do the reverse and take the ferry and spend a day in Cavtat brilliant-great restaurants and lovely places to have a swim etc.
The boats run back and forth all day.
Def take swim shoes for DC as some sharp rocks and they make it much easier.
Have a lovely holiday

Never been to Istria but have been from Dubrovnik to Split and then inland to Zagreb via Plitvice Lakes.

Favourite places were Split, Korcula town (a bit like a miniature and much less crowded version of Dubrovnik) and Mljet for scenery. The Split to Dubrovnik catamaran goes via Hvar, Korcula and Mljet, so it's easy to stop at any of those places for a few nights.

Try and avoid Split and Dubrovnik on the days when cruise ships are in dock if possible, the schedules are published online...

Croatia has some excellent white wines, sheep's cheeses and olive oil (from Istria), if you enjoy your food and wine. Smile Gorgeous country but with only 14 days I would mostly stick to the coast and islands, Pula to Dubrovnik is a long way with loads to see just along and off that stretch of coastline, without going inland, except perhaps to Plitvice or Krka, which could be a day trip from Zadar or Split.
