Hi,
planning to have ivf in next few months and wondering if all goes well, wether or not i should book a holiday for when i'd be 6 weeks pregnant. its the only time DH can get off work. only thinking about shorthaul but there would be a toddler in tow.
haven't booked the holiday, we don't HAVE to go away but would be nice if we could.
any advice?

Oh god yes do go. It'll be the last proper holiday you have for a while. However I give you this warning. I was pregnant on our belated honeymoon - seven weeks - and vomited my way round tuscany.

i threw for 30 weeks last time at least if we go away there will be childcare for DD so i can yak in peace
was worried about the flight mainly - and was thinking, if in doubt don't do it. but then i might regret that and if things don't work out it would be a nice consolation. just feel a bit selfish for flying if it did harm unborn

I flew to Iceland and hiked up a volcano whilst 8wks pregnant! My pregnancy was fine and now have a healthy toddler.

Yes i flew to greece when i was about 10 - 15 weeks (cant remember exactly he's 5 1/2 now!|) with dd who was then about 2 1/2. My midwife said it shld be fine and to put it bluntly if anything were to happen with the baby, at that early stage there'd not be a lot anyone could do about it regardless of wher you were!
