Where in coastal France

We are looking for a camping/glamping holiday with a quaint village/town and beaches. Either south of France or the Atlantic coast...any suggestions of family friendly places?! So hard to know where to start looking!

I would avoid the Languedoc-Roussillon area. The brochures seemed to speak of wild coastlines and French cuisine.

We got there (Vias-Plage) and it was like Blackpool-on-Med. The family all had a go at me for having terrible taste and low standards.

Never again, France is too beautiful to settle.
