We are having the annual summer holiday booking debate/argument in my household!
Thsi year , we are considering Greek Islands. We have recently preferred with the DCs villas to hotels, just for privacy and own space. But hotels do have their attraction especially as I am the only cook and in recent holidays that idea of eating out in restaurants at lunch or in the evening has caused stress in itself and villas are never as nice or well located as their pics!
However, I ahve never self catered in Greece. I may be wrong but do the islands have actual big proper supermarkets? In France and Spain this ahs always been easy. I did wonder whether we coudl find oursleves miles from a proper shop across mountain roads!
If it helps, we are considering Rhodes or Crete (and Croatia at one point and I know that's not Greece!!)
Any insights welcome!
