Booster seats for holiday

We're going to Florida next year, DSs will be 11 and 7. 11 year old won't need a seat but 7 yo may. Hire company charge around $70 which is a lot of dead money. I can get the Trunki booster backpack for £40 which he will be able to take on the plane as his carryon luggage with tablet, activities, snack ets, or an inflatable packaway booster for less which would go in suitcase.

Any one used either of these and can offer and reviews or advice on which would be better?

We have the bubblebum. I love it. We used it on a massive hire car road trip through Central Europe. Small person reports it was very comfortable!

It now lives in the back of my car, and has been incredibly useful when offering lifts, doing emergency pick ups of schoolfiends etc.

So definitely not wasted money.

We have the bubble bum too- far better value than the back pack. You’ll get more use out of it than you think. You can get three boosters across most cars with two normal ones and this in the middle.

Definitely bubblebumSmile

The trunki one is quite hard so not very comfortable.

Thanks all, was not expecting to hear such good things for a £25 booster!! Anyone have issues with punctures or slow air leaks? I assume it comes with a patch repair kit should that happen?

We’ve had ours a while and as long as you close the inflation valve it doesn’t tend to go down too quickly. I can’t remember if it comes with a patch but we’ve got two that have lasted at least 3 years.

Had bubble bums for years with no problems 👍

No issues with leaks. Mine hangs on a hook in the boot. Gets knocked around loads, just make sure the valve is shut.
