Looking to visit USA in December however, I have a criminal record from around 6 years ago. I asked a friends relative who went to the states who had drug related charges -mine is not -he said he didn't have to do the interview for the ESTA. When I looked into it online they said I would have to attend an interview based on answering the question "have you ever been arrested/charged". Anyway, I wasn't actually charged and it was dropped but I was arrested. I don't want to lie/get turned back but I also don't want to spend extra money if it isn't necessary. Looking for those with experience of travelling to the states with a criminal record who can advise me?
