Which holiday would you choose?

Looking to go away in peak season. Myself, dh and two ds's 11 and 4.

I've been to Greek Islands several times and have enjoyed it but have never been all inclusive.

We initially decided on Majorca because the flight time is shorter and it might not be quite as hot for the dc, plus it would be a change.

Have heard only good things about Puerto Pollensa in Majorca. I'm sure we'd enjoy eating out and exploring the area.

However, the hotel in Kos looks as though there's so much for the dc to do with the waterslides and the activities. Now I'm torn.

Our budget is around 3k, could stretch to more for the right holiday and we probably want quite a lot for that, nice location, near to the beach, daytime flights, some food even if just bed and breakfast.

I've never been to Kos so can't say anything about it. I went a lot to Puerto Pollensa as a kid with family and I really enjoyed it. It has nice beaches and is very safe, there were loads of other kids running about all over the place so your DC's could make friends easily

I think those apartments at PP are rated on here by those with young children. I have been to PP with children but a different place and it worked well. But I have only been to Kos town when younger and single so I think PP might be a better bet.

Anyone else? It's such a hard decision, it's a lot of money for us so want to get it right.

I'm leaning more towards PP because everyone says it's such a nice family place.

The Kos holiday, I like the idea of some of the activities especially for older dc, but then might feel a bit tied to the hotel if the area isn't so good.

I have been looking at Majorca PP too. Sounds lovely. Were you looking at going for one week? Do you know if you can get better deals at the same hotel with different tour operators? Sorry for thread hi jack!

Having clicked on the links i’d Go to PP it’s 4 1/2 stars on Trip Adviser. The AI places are often frequented by some chain smoking, drinking all day brigades and are often in the sticks. PP feels lovely and safe or did 5 years ago.

That's what put me off Amazon, plus we don't want to eat in the hotel every night anyway, so if it is isolated it will ruin it.

Rainydogday We are looking at going for one week. I'm pretty sure you can get this hotel a bit cheaper by booking it elsewhere. It's available through On the Beach and other sites, it can be booked directly with the hotel too. Depends where you're flying from etc, night flights seem to bring the price down.

Somehow I always feel a bit safer booking through a well known travel agent, probably stupid really because I've had some crap holidays with Thomas Cook.
