I'm thinking of a two week holiday to Ireland this year with DS14.

Was thinking 3 days in Dublin, then hire a car get to the coast and get a cottage or lodge.

I've never been before and would love to know any nice areas or ideas to start planning.

Take a look at www.wildatlanticway.com

Sorry I can't make it clicky on my tablet but it's a great resource for places to visit all along the west coast.

Oh, it made itself clicky!

Clonakilty or Kinsale is nice and on the coast there is surf schools for your DS if he is into outdoor activities - look up Incheydoney beach.

Wow wasn't expecting such a fast response on a slow thread. Will look up all these over the week.

I don't know where I get the idea of Skibbereen, but I have that name stuck in my head. Forgot about Kinsale looks lovely.

Thanks everyone.
