Single mum, need a holiday before my head implodes

I’m skint.
On paper I have a good income but I get no CM. I have debts from loans from having a car written off, general living, new flooring after a really bad flood but I’m paying them off.
No holiday for 3 years and won’t be going this year.
I want to book for 2020 and pay a small amount off this year (2019) and bigger amounts next year (2020).

No package deals as they work out much more expensive.
Daughter is 13.
Thinking Rhodes or similar- somewhere the sea is clear and beaches are clean and there is guarenteed sunshine in August.

Looking for holiday ideas and websites that I can use to book this far in advance.
I need something to look forward to. I work too hard and make too many sacrifices to not have something nice on the horizon for me and my daughter.

Thanks in advance x

Are you talking about he summer of 2020? I don't know many big firms that have published their flight schedule /prices for that far ahead yet, especially with all the Brexit uncertainty, so I think your best bet for now is to start putting a bit of money aside each month so you have enough for the deposit when the summer 2020 price list is published.

not sure if you can book this far in advance. Can you out some money into a savings account and book nearer the time?

PotteringAlong · 29/12/2018 08:12

You can’t book that far in advance; the flights won’t be released yet.

Your best bet is to save the money for it now and book when everything is released.

We don't do package holidays. Always book accommodation and flights/transfer separately.

There's someone in my local FB group with a villa in Spain who rents it out and it's cheap. They also help you arrange cheap flights. I proved up a holiday for the six of us with her villa and the flights and it was £1500. In the school hols! So there are good ways of doing it out there.
