It’s DHs birthday at the end of July and I want to book a trip to eat lots of food in San Sebastián. We will be flying to Bilbao and then getting a taxi/ coach up to SS.
Looking at accommodation in the old town it is all slightly iffy looking places or ridiculously expensive OTT old hotels. Ideally I don’t want to spend more than £150 a night.
Also, I’m debating whether we should take DS or not. He’s seven, eats like a trouper and has never been on a plane before. Part of me wants to book somewhere ridiculous like Arzak though.
What would mumsnet do? And do you have any hints/ tips for our trip? Any advice on getting from Bilbao? Should we go weekend or midweek? Where should we stay? Should we take DS?
