Ryanair, no priority for 3 yr old

So my husband (in his wisdom) booked our Ryanair flights with Priority Boarding for both adults but not for 18 month old and 3 yr old. I'm not concerned with the lack of priority for the baby as he has a lap seat anyway but what about the 3 yr old? Will they allow her to board with us or will we all have to forfeit the priority que?

Can you not add it on now? Last time I flew with them you could add priority up to just before check in

@Sirzy thank you, I hadn't thought about that Grin

They are not going to leave her standing by herself. They will let you all through together. If they don't it is not the end of the world. Judy wait and go through with everybody else.

'just' wait and go through with everybody else.

Of course they will let her through with you.

Maybe a different thing but my DH gets priority on BA as he has a silver card. I often tag on behind him to get through fast track check in, security and boarding. They have never said no to me.

I thought that you had to book a seat on Ryanair with children under , is that not still the case I haen't flown with them since last March. If you have a booked seat it doesn't matter if you priority board or not.

PenguinPandas · 28/12/2018 12:02

I think children under 12 get a seat so that will be fine. If you haven't all got priority boarding they won't let you all through in priority, we had this with toddlers and we had to go to back of normal queue. If you go into booking should be able to add it.

Priority boarding is a total waste of time (unless you need to do it for the baggage allowance) The majority of passengers now seem to book this - it just means that instead of sitting in a seat in the terminal, you get herded into an area which is standing only, or sent outside in the cold and wet to wait for a bus which will then wait until it is full. The plane won't go without you - just wait until the queue for boarding has died down and then get on. Hopefully most people will have managed to sit down so you just go straight to your seats and not wait too long for take-off.

Update - we all boarded as priority, no one questioned it. I agree with the comment about priority being a waste unless you use it for baggage allowance (as we did) though.

Glad it all went smoothly for you.
