Travelling to Bicester Village on Boxing Day

I don't want to brave the crowds at Bicester tomorrow, but DS wants to go. Shops open at 7am. What time should I get there in order to find parking? 6.15?
I don't want to park in the multi storey carpark nor use their park and ride.
Please advice. Thanks

My advice.

Don't go.

It will be hell on earth.

magicwand · 25/12/2018 13:29

Thanks Littlefish, I wish I could heed that

Don't do it!! I used to live nearby and it's hideous and mostly the shops don't really reduce prices.
Traffic is always really bad, most locals will avoid it like the plague.
I've heard from people that worked there of people pissing their pants rather than leave the hideous queues for the tills, being so hot people puke in changing rooms!
One year the crowds broke the security barriers in Ralph Lauren surging to get in!

I have to say an outlet mall would be the last place I'd consider going, their prices are relatively good throughout the year anyway plus it's often last season etc? Surely the more worthwhile bargains are going to be at normal shopping centres unless I'm missing something?

Oh lovely, seriously do not do it! I lived nearby and one queued for 3 hrs just to get past it to go home!

magicwand · 25/12/2018 14:18

Thanks all

Yeah... there's not going to be a good time. I wouldn't do it.

We’ve been to Bicester Village twice - never on a Boxing Day though. Just an ordinary Saturday. We gave up on both occasions because we couldn’t find a parking space. Courage, mon brave....

Heratnumber7 · 25/12/2018 15:10

You know you don't have to do everything DS wants you to?

Noisygirls · 26/12/2018 08:51

We live very close and it will literally be hell on earth. With no real discounts. Only time to go on any given day is first thing in morning so you’re parked way before shops open or very close to closing time. Good luck it you brave it

Did you go op??!
