Ryanair new baggage restrictions - trunki

Looking for advice if anyone has experienced this.

travelling over Christmas. Can we bring the Trunki for our child. They fit under the passenger seat in front.

Ryanair specify sizes (roughly the size a of a large handbag) but I'ev heard that staff are happy once your bag fits under the passengar seat.

Any experiences doing this?

IN case anyone was interested here's what happened.
We didn't check the Trunki's on to the flight and just put them under the seats. Nobody checked and nobody minded. No need to pay for the carry-on storage fee
