Anyone been to Sarlat La Caneda in the Dordogne?

We're going to a wedding there next summer and are looking for a child friendly gite with pool that can accommodate 2 families comfortably. We know about all the major gite/villa websites, just wondering if anyone had a personal recommendation?

sorry only been to a campsite near the town! campsite was fantastic tho... so was the town market. have lovely time.

If it were down to me we would camp. Have you got the site name /details? Problem is DH doesnt 'do camping'. I wonder if I can convince him otherwise...

Sorry can't help with recommendations - we visited several years ago when childless and stayed in romantic hotel in town sigh!!!

It is a beautiful place though - I hope you get a good recommendation and enjoy your stay.

(Can't say I blame your dh for not doing camping - shared toilets and showers, especially in France....)
