Activities in the vendee when wet and cold

We're off to eurocamp in the Vendee in a few days and the weather forecast is terrible, so our days on the beack/in the pool might be limited. We've been twice before and on our occasional wet days we've been to the zoo at Les Sables d'Olonne and to the Aquarium at La Rochelle. But what else is there to do in the region? We'll have a 4yo dd with us and will be staying in La Tranche. I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

There's a small Aquarium and a big indoor water park on the Isle of Nourmoutier which is a nice wee place.

If it's nice you MUST go to La Grand parc (www.puydefou.fr) which is amazing - well worth a visit but take a picnic!
Another place is Les Dunes at brem sur mer/Brtignolles - it's a bit like Britain in the 1950s a non mechanised fun park with loads to do - we had 5-6 hours of non stop fun there - it was fantastic!(www.parcdesdunes.com) the brochures and literature don't do it justice!

Can't think of any more indoor places to go - never needed to find them in the Vendee, can send you to a few in brittany though but it's too far!
Take a prtable dvd player and loads of dvds for you and dd. Drink lots of wine!!!

Google for 'Angela Bird's guide to the vendee'

She lists quite a lot of things.

The castle at Arpremont is quite nice and there is a rather good pancake resturant there by the side of the castle
