It's booked for February...has anyone been??
Any tips of things to do/places to see?
Any other advice welcome.

I think at the time I was feeling really intrepid! We are 2 adults and my 5 year old son who absolutely loves the water.

Where abouts are you staying? North / East coast / Stonetown..??

It’s got some big resorts and is geared up for tourists, although the airport is very small and old fashioned!

Don’t be nervous!

I didn’t stay on that side of the island but did head that way for a day out - we don’t have kids so hired scooters, but it’s easy to find a cab. You’re not too far from Jozani Forest which is a nice easy walk round, and you can see the red Colobus monkeys (who only live in Zanzibar). There’s also a butterfly centre which was good to visit.
Stonetown is amazing to wander round for the history and old buildings, but it might not be so fun for kids or if you’re nervous (there’s no need to be but it’s quite full on)!

You’ll also be able to get boat trips from your resort to go snorkelling or for the sunset. The old dhow boats are lovely.
