What are your top things to do/see in Venice for a couple giddy with excitement at having no children for three days?!

I’ve been to Venice before but my husband hasn’t. We like food, people-watching, architecture and mooching about - what should we prioritise?...

Watch a free glass blowing demonstration on Murano.

I loved just walking and getting lost in Venice - such a wonderful place! The thing I remember was crossing the bridge of sighs - did Everything in Piazza St Marco - gondola was hideously expensive but we were students lol

Guggenheim museum was my highlight, eautiful gardens which were an oasis of calm and we walked there from central area and saw lots of beautiful squares and quiet canals along the way.

Thanks all! I remember enjoying the Guggenheim many years ago - I think will husband will like it there.

I haven’t been to Murano/Burano/Torcello, Ricekrispie, so I like the sound of that

Loved Burano / Murano / Torcello and just going round on the Vaporetto.

Went to a lovely classical music concert by candlelight.

Expensive but loved going on a gondala.
