European honeymoon with a 2 year old

Any destination suggestions?? We're looking for a bit of luxury but obviously not an adults only extremely expensive place.
Wanting to stay in Europe as we don't want to do long haul with an energetic toddler!
Also not an all inclusive hotel as we like to explore and try different restaurants.

I'd reccomend Cascias near Lisbon. It's a short flight from the UK and the resort has sandy beaches, an attractive old town, a good range of accommodation, and it's all pretty family-friendly. Lisbon and Sintra are neary by for daytrips.

I think it depends on the time of year that you are going. I always think its easier to go somewhere warm - not scorching hot or cold/rainy - with a toddler because then they can run around and let off steam without getting wet, cold or sunburnt. had you thought about one of the European centreparcs type places? Barcelona is lovely it has the beach as well as things to look around. also do like Cyprus but might be a bit far.

Corsica

Sorry should have said it'll be in September, I'll have a look into those suggestions but we were probably looking for something a bit fancier than the centre parks options as it's our honeymoon
