Blood glucose monitor in suitcase

I'm traveling to the US in a few weeks. Can I pack my blood glucose monitor in my hand luggage or best in suitcase? Not doctor prescribed. JUst keeping an eye on my blood sugars. Any info would be great.

I would take it on board so it doesn't get broken

You can take it in your hand luggage - they might ask you to remove batteries if it's powered that way.
